All instruments are solid body. We make two different models of four string electric violins: One with a glued fingerboard like traditional violins, and another one that is made by one single piece.
Both keep traditional violin sizes in terms of total length, neck thickness and fingerboard length and radius. ________________ Made of tropical hardwood, we offer the possibility to choose from an extensive species variety, each one with its own charachteristics in terms of hardness, weight and resonance. Spanish Cedar, Tropical Walnut, Mahogany... for two pieces violin bodies. Gabon or Macassar Ebony, Purpleheart, Olive wood, Cocobolo and Boxwood..., depending on each costumer's personal taste, for fingerboards and accessories. Gabon and Macassar Ebony, Purpleheart, Cocobolo and especially Bloodwood and Boxwood for single piece violins. ________________ All instruments are equipped with our own transducers, although another system can be assembled if our costumer prefers. In four and five string violins our especially designed Shoulder Rest System adapts the instrument to any player's anatomy in a quickly and easy way. It considerably reduces weight sensation. We assemble Schaller M6 tuners for a soft and precise tuning. Different types are available.
Finishes are hand-crafted with natural products. We recommend wax polish finishing for single piece instruments to our costumers, due to its resistance to string friction against fingerboard. For glued fingerboard violins finishing can be done with oil or Shellac. Each instrument is delivered with a numbered and signed authenticity certificate. |
